It's always exciting to write about technology and how it amazes mankind with its achievements particularly in the field of medicine. How many inventions to help man find out the causes of an illness and how many equal inventions to help correct them! What gives me immense pleasure is that people are embracing technology to the fullest and saying that they are using technology for almost everything in medicine field is the right statement I believe. So today I wanted to write about one place in medicine where technology excels to its best. Eye corrective surgery.
Technology used - Laser Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK), it is most commonly called as Laser eye surgery by many and most recently, my friend got her myopia problem correct with Lasik and boy, doesn't she look more beautiful now. Talking of beauty and the eye, I came across lasik newport beach where they preach and say 'Beauty starts with the eye' and how true that it resonates with what I just told about my friend! As always, technology for the win and now you just came to know something new or the fact that beauty does start with the eye.
